Prologue (click to listen)

Rob & Hez is an upcoming audio show brought to you by Kid in a Cape Productions. It’s status right now is more on the side of “in progress” than dead.

The concept of the show is simple. Who are two characters that could not be more polar opposites? Well, the answer to that is clear. An Amish man and a cyborg from the future, naturally. Rob and Hez takes advantage of this and merges them into best friends. Robert Ott, a cyborg from the future regrets the mistakes he’s made in his mission to assist his fellow cyborgs. Being shunned from their community, he’s lived for years with humans before deciding the life pace of the future is not to his liking. He uses his dislike to fuel his desire to turn the clock back. Due to his connections with the CIA (Cyborg Intelligence Agency), he gains access to the entire time stream and haphazardly jumps into it with his metallic fingers crossed.

He lands in a time he thinks of The Era of The Amish. Knowing nothing of what we now refer to as modern society, Robert assumes the Amish community he stumbles upon is all this time has to offer. The Amish, being the quaint country bumpkins that they are, also know nothing of the society that surrounds them and see Robert as an outsider in need of heavy assistance. They keep him around to help him, not to mention the benefits he brings when being able to single-handedly raise a barn in under two minutes.

It wasn’t the life a crazy cyborg from the future expected, but it was the one he is learning to love. He works on the farm and meets the cast of the Amish, who are all not what they seem. He plans to live out his days at the beck and call of these people and he couldn’t be happier. Or could he?

Rob and Hez is the exploration of this question. Listen now to the previously recorded introduction and share your feedback!
